A trip is something we all want to remember forever. We want our best moments to stay alive, that’s why we immortalize them at every opportunity. The photos are countless and there is always this part of ourselves that wants to bring back a little bit of our favorite destination. So I asked and 50 people answer our question, what souvenir do you bring from your travels? What is your favorite souvenir?

The souvenirs we bring from our travels, not as gifts to others but for ourselves, naturally reflect ourselves and our tastes. But of course they also reflect the kind of traveler we are. Are we practical guys, romantic or do we bring with us only souvenirs that can be … eaten? So let’s see the answers!

The most common answers.

The fav magnet. Number 1 answer is of course everyone’s favorite souvenir and timeless magnet! Who knows when this fashion started, however this one is in all homes, even as a gift, Who can imagine a single refrigerator without tons of magnets on it? It is definitely one of the safest options and in most cases it is a very economical solution, if looking for a small gift.

Miniatures from major attractions. This particular souvenir is second on your list of favorites and not unjustly so. Everyone’s favorite snowballs or miniatures of a monument are definitely found in all homes.

Mugs. Drinking your coffee every day in another city (even imaginatively) is at least fun. The mugs remind you of your every trip but they are also practical!

Postcards. For those who do not want to burden their luggage, postcards are the ideal souvenir. When you return, you can collect them in a travel box, hang them on the wall or make a beautiful corner to remind you of your travels!

souvenirs

Local banknotes and museum scraps. Certainly many of us have returned with clippings from museums, concerts or restaurant receipts. Along with the collection of banknotes, these scraps are now part of our memories.

Local products and delicacies. I don’t know if they have opened your suitcase at Warsaw Airport to see it almost full of sausages and cold cuts, but you just can’t leave some countries without bringing some of their cuisine with you. One of my favorite souvenirs out there, although they don’t stay with us for long after all!

Works by local artists. My favorite category by far, since in addition to an eternal memory, you also contribute to the dream of an artist who is struggling for his art and not in another Chinese factory. Maybe the budget goes up a bit in this category but it’s definitely worth it. Try to find more special shops, which host creations of local artists and you will remember me!

So , what do i collect?

Ι am a person who can be excited about various creations and I don’t always have a standard souvenir from my travels, I try to buy a pair of earrings from local stores. If I also find it in a flea market, even better! Also, on my last trips I started looking for small bookstores and looking for city guides written by locals! You will be amazed at what information you will find there!

Hope you enjoyed the post!Tell me , what is YOUR favorite souvenir?
