Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia, a small but wonderful city that manages to make you fall in love with it at first sight. It is within short distance of three capitals, Budapest, Vienna and Prague, making it a great choice for a city break if you are nearby. If you are a coffee lover then this article is for you. Rannô Ptáča

Address: Štefaničova 6

This one is very close to the Railway Station and was very close to the hostel where I was staying, on the corner of a historic building. It was the tip of a local I met and so I tryed it. You have to get there if you want to drink a very good coffee and have a snack, before you start your exploration as it has several kinds of breakfast. Its name means "the morning bird" anyway. The interior is very minimal but also cozy with large windows, so you can just relax and watch the world go by.
Urban Bistro

☞ Address: Michalska 5

As its name suggests, it is urban and awaits you at any moment of the day, for a coffee, a special snack or a glass of wine. It is located in the center of the Old Town, so it will definitely catch your eye. The interior is characterized by industrial touches and its whole style exudes something relaxed but also neat at the same time.
Bistro St.Germain
One of the best cafes in Bratislava is Bistro St. Germain. The absolute synonym of cosyness, I fell in love with this bistro at first sight. Upon entering you see shelves full of books, warm colors, colorful lights and an atmosphere reminiscent of Paris. I remember sitting down and flipping through my book with a cup of hot coffee in my hand feeling happy. My eye caught a lot of delicious sweets on the tables while the menu contained a wide variety of hot dishes, such as soups and dishes of the day but also breakfasts and special salads.
St. Germain is located just outside the center, but within walking distance of the Old Town. It will take you 5-10 minutes to get here from Hviezdoslav Square. Look for the trolley stop on Cintorinska Street "Nemocnica sv. Michala" - just behind it, when you turn left, you will see a small passage where you have to go. St. Germain will be on your left, at 7 Rajska Street.

Enjoy your coffee!
