Have you ever stayed in a hostel? Some of you will say ” yes , all the time ” , others will never consider staying somewhere , where bathrooms have to be shared and plates cleaned by ΥΟU! I was somewhere in between , fascinated by the idea of staying in a hostel , yet always finding some good , cheap apartments to rent .

Welcome to Ljubljana

That was until my recent trip to Slovenia – this magical , green , beautiful country – , when , searching for an accommodation , i bumped into Kva Hostel. The first thing that caught my eye , was the bright and spacious common area , decorated beautifully and windows facing the river , right in the center of the old town. It was just a magical , vintage scenery and i already imagined myself having breakfast there , planning my next adventures.  I wasn’t exactly ready to share a room with other people – one step at a time people- , and since i was traveling with my husband we booked the double room .

The room was on the first floor , big , bright and very clean. We didn’t have much of a view but the bed was super comfortable.  Each room in this hostel was designed and decorated by local artists , so you can totally feel an artistic vibe allover the building. A pretty decent breakfast was served every morning , which was truly convenient and all the employees , working on the reception were more than happy to help us with everything we needed! Check in was super easy , even though the hostel’s entrance can be missed if you dont pay attention to the door sign! Check out was super smooth also , we even left our luggage for some hours and collected them later.

I wouldn’t say Kva Hostel was the cheapest option in Ljubljana , but it was totally worth it! It was super clean , the bathrooms were in a great condition , breakfast was included and we felt totally safe at all points. There were a lot of girls traveling solo , staying in Kva Hostel and safety IS number one priority . It was a perfect first experience in a hostel and for that , thank you Kva Hostel and hope to see you again!

Prices starting from 55 euro , for a double room - breakfast included - . Find more info here Kva Hostel
